2022 Cherry Blossom Festival

I was invited by Johnny to help out at the San Francisco Cherry Blossom event with a Shiba Booth hosted by the local SF Shiba Club. It was a tight squeeze for this during the week because I do work on weekends. However I was happy that we were able to make it. We left a little later and got stuck in traffic on the way there, and then again searching for traffic nearly an hour.

Eventually we found some parking some ways out, and had to do a bit off walking. By the time we arrived there it was past 4PM (so yeah a little late in the book, but it was a long drive for us). We brought Daichi (shiba) and Saki (Shikoku). Daichi has made a mess of himself, he tends to drool a lot on long trips and also his water bowl somehow tipped over. Nonetheless Daichi got to meet a lot of people and we helped educate people on the breed and inform them about the club. I was pleasantly surprised with how well Daichi did in such a big crowd of people and having at least 4 different people pet him at once. I have taken him to events before but never nearly as big as this one in particular.

We stayed there for a couple hours and got to meet the other Shiba. Daichi stole a toy from Johnny & Tabby but its okay because they said he could keep it since he liked it more than the other dogs. (By the way this squirrel toy had been demolished by them this morning lol)

When they closed the booth we walked around a bit, a lot of people with other Shiba approached us and asked us some questions. I had a lady ask me if I was selling him (lol with?)

Overall it was a good experience and a lot of fun, and im looking forward for our next event to participate in
