A shampoo I highly recommend for course double coated dogs is Isle of dogs No.33, it has an elegant scent that isn’t over powering and goes a really good job of lather and removing dirt without drying out your dogs coat. I have used other very popular products before but I find that this one works the best for a beautiful healthy coat in my breed without an overpowering smell that can irritate the dog or owner. Shiba and Shikoku have course hair and it is supposed to feel a little rough, not soft. This shampoo is considered high end and I find it nicely compliments the coat texture and color.
